xindy − a flexible indexing system

[−t] [−l logfile] [−o outfile] [−f filterprog] [−L n] [−v] indexstyle rawindex |
xindy is a general purpose index processor.
−o outfile
Writes the tagged index to the specified file. If omitted, the name of the rawindex is used with its extension changed to .ind.
−l logfile
Writes logging information into the specified file.
−f nfilterprog
Run filterprog on rawindex before reading. The program must act as a filter reading from stdin and writing to stdout.

Sets the logging level to n with n one of {1,2,3} |

Activates the markup-trace function. Writes symbolic markup-tags to the final index which can be used to trace the markup process. |

−v |
Display the version number. |

−help |
Show a summary of the command-line options. |
